Matthew Lyons’ illustrations never cease to amaze me. Same could be said for his copy/descriptions; I never quite know what he’s on about.
I love this album cover. It was designed by Tim Hecker himself after he found the photo, which is of a group of MIT students throwing a piano off the roof of a building. Apparently it’s a ritual they’ve done every year since the 70s, and the photo used on the cover is a document of the first ever piano drop.
